The Saatchi Gallery, Sloane Square, played host to some of the biggest names in fashion on Thursday, who were out in style at the opening party for Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé exhibition. So I popped on over to see what all the fuss was about…..

The long awaited exhibition of the legendary works and influences of Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld was obviously a huge draw for celebrity names, but for the fashion forward and style conscious public it really is something of a once in a life time experience. Complete with an in house app that guides you through the exhibition room by room. The app by what seems to be magic, lets you point your smart phone at a specific exhibit and in turn shows you images of the exact room in 31 Rue Cambon, Paris, Coco Chanel’s home as it was and is still preserved for public viewing.
Upon arriving at Sloane Square station I walked the designer lined street for a short distance, to the world renowned Saatchi Gallery. There I was met by uber chic stewards, identically dressed in classic the Chanel colours Black & White. Chanel’s infamous pearls, beautiful classic fabrics and exquisite beading were the centre of display at the exhibition. Classic colours and parisian influence encompassed the entire atmosphere of the Saatchi Gallery. The insight in to Mademoiselle Chanel’s home was an innovative treat for those who will never make it to the actual tour in Paris. Such a beautifully classic apartment with obvious influences from all over the world chased by stories of glamourous runway shows taking place downstairs in the world famous Chanel store. Her story really is one of a true fashionista and her brand is and will always remain timeless.
This exhibition is definitely one not to miss!
