If you’re going to opt for a city break instead of a beach holiday then you really have to make it extra special. Finding a city hotel can be hard sometimes. Its all about Location, decor and service for me.
I’v scoured the top city destinations and found some of the most lavish of places to stay where anyone would be happy to rest their feet after a weary day of excursions and exploring!
1. Hotel Gran Meila, Rome
This amazingly simple but beautifully elegant hotel is set just a stones throw from some of Rome’s most famous sights such as St Peters Basilica and the Vatican. With a choice of rooms, gym and lounge area there is much to make you feel at home. Travel during Italy’s summer months and make use of the luxurious cushioned sun  loungers, serene pool area and hot tub.
You will find an abundance of food choices both in the hotel and around Rome itself, one of my favourite city breaks.
Indulge….£1034 for 3 nts.

2. Grand Hotel, Stockholm
Centrally located and one of Sweden’s most famous hotels, the Grand is as grand as its name. Overlooking the water with views over to Gamla Stan (The Old Town), this hotel boasts a very Swedish style spa and decor. You will feel like royalty here, staying amongst Sweden’s elite.
Neighbours with names such as Alexander Skarsgard, the Grand is just a couple of minutes walk from all the designer stores, restaurants and bars you could wish for! Try Berns for drinks and head in to Gamla stan at night for some real hidden gems…
Not too bad a price at 950 for 3 nts.

3. Crosby Street Hotel, New York
Real New York…..5* style! Set in Soho, with Prada & Ralph Lauren for company. Hop of at Spring Street Subway and forget the pompous old New York hotels with patterned carpets. This hotel has a true new york feel with unrivalled design.
Feel at home in the Crosby, indulge in a few cocktails at their city bar or chill out in the courtyard terrace. With a fantastic menu on offer this is truly a one of a kind in such a big city…you won’t find this anywhere else in New York!
Stay for around £1314 for 3 nts.

4. The Mayfair Hotel, London
One of London’s oldest and most prestigious hotels, opened by King George V in 1927. The Mayfair doesn’t disappoint! Found in the heart of London, its just a short walk to the infamous Oxford Street,  or Harrods in Knightsbridge.
Great access to the tube and all you could ask for on your doorstep.
Sublime British service on hand to help you with your every request. Enjoy theatrical dining with award winning chefs and visit the spa for treatments from world class therapists.
Each room is exquisitely designed and you can choose your suite depending on your needs and wants.
Opt for a Deluxe suite or roof top terrace to make your stay extra special.
A steal at £947 for 3 nts.

5. Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris
Parisian elegance and renaissance charm. Living up to the Four Seasons name the George V is something to be seen!
A clear view of the Eifel tower can been seen from your balcony as you sip some of the finest Champagne. Take a dip in the secluded pool or unwind in the spa.
Dine like the Parisians do and take a walk down Rue de Champs Elysee which is just a step out the front door. A few meters down the road, shop or visit the museum like Louis Vuitton store or detour to find the flagship Chanel store and visit Coco Chanel’s apartment above.
Have a late night dinner in the Eifel tower restaurant or dine on a river cruise down the Seine.
Put this city on your must see list! From around £3020 for 3 nts.
