Summer feels like it’s very very slowly creeping upon us and I definitely can’t wait for the rainy spring season to be over! It’s getting a bit warmer at least and I’m not wearing my heavy coats or boots anymore. The thin jackets and sandals are steadily creeping out and making an appearance.
We’ve all started to notice that the shops are now fully stocked with some beautiful dresses and colours. You can definitely see that pastels are going to be huge this season.
From shoes to jewellery you will be able to find almost anything in pastel this season. I have found these super comfy Pink Canvas Trainers from Rocketdog which are super comfy and bound to get a lot of use over the next month or so, before full sandals can be worn without the risk of rain. One of the worst things is to be out in sandals and walking through puddles at the same time! A note to festival goers…dont forget wellies or trainers when packing your cutest 2016 sandals!
It’s always nice to find a new shoulder bag and I bought this Pastel Envelope Clutch with a rose gold chain strap from Accessorize when I was down in Covent Garden a couple of weeks ago. I love the gold accent plate over the closure. I tend to take this out with me in the day but it’s also a perfect evening purse, just big enough for my phone, sunglasses lipstick and cards.
Rose Gold and pastel colours go really well together and you can see that this gorgeous really simple chain that I’ve actually had in my jewellery box for a while, is rocking this same winning combination. I got it from ASOS and am really happy that it’s still perfect for spring summer as it’s one of my favourites.
Go pastel pink with your beauty bag too…..
I love these fab make up accessories including this Shade & Shadow Brush by Lottie and Large Angled Blush Brush from Luxie. There are quite a lot of pastel accessories around at the moment and they don’t all come in pink. I love the pastel blues and greens that are around too. I’m sure you will see a lot of pastel peeking through in my posts over the next few months!
Smooth, soft lips are also a must in summer so I’m glad that Balmi have now brought out this pastel pink lip balm. They also do it in pastel green so either of these will definitely be floating around in my handbag on a daily basis!
Keeping in the pastel pink theme, love the floral design of the new Patricia Bonaldi Into The Garden Colour Compact for Mary Kay. Such a summery little set and some gorgeous colours as well. It’s a good size to carry around and comes with a multi purpose brush and a mirror so you can easily top up your make up on the go.
What do you think about pastel for this summer?
