Magnolia Bakery @ Bloomingdales

So it’s only been one day since Matt and I landed in the big NYC and I’m lovin it!
Apart form all the fab shopping, the weather is amazing! It’s a warm 18 degrees here and I haven’t even needed to use my fab new Zara coat. Luckily I brought my little leather jacket with me so i’v ended up wearing that everyday!
I am a bit of a food lover so I thought I would change it up a bit from my usual posts and let you guys know about the gorgeous little food finds in New York City.
We are staying in a cute boutique hotel just off Times Square and Broadway. There is so much choice on where to eat around here.

Le Pain Quotidien

We have eaten breakfast at a different place every morning and so far my favourite has to be the Le Pain Quotidien. They serve amazing wholegrain type foods and its kind of like a traditional country style cafe. Its really close to our hotel and right in the middle of the city. I pigged out a bit and had eggs with a variety of breads and also a croissant with jam….yum! I also ordered a cute little pot of tea which was real tea leaves and probably the best iv had tea wise over here.

Wasabi @ Times Square
Next up Wasabi, just off Times Square. They have this in the UK but I haven’t actually tried it back home. This is now my new fav place to eat out. I love sushi and it’s soooo good from Wasabi and looks fresh and nice and clean. You can mix and match and take away as well as each sushi piece comes in handy little wrappers. Must try!
Another restaurant that we found was Un Deux Trois, a festive french restaurant right off Broadway. The food here was very simple but had some great flavours, a guaranteed good meal can definetly be had here. The cocktails were great too, try the French 75, it will knock your socks off, its that strong!

Dylan’s Candy Store

Lastly if you try one thing over here it has to be the cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery in Bloomingdales….They taste soooo delicious and there are so many weird but wonderful combinations on offer! A little bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Afterwards pop over the road to Dylan’s Candy Store even if it’s just to stand in awe of the candy madness! Amazing!
