My Beauty Essentials

My Beauty Essentials
I go through stages of favourite products and as I’m always being sent some amazing goodies I am lucky enough to try out some great new brands and collections. There are always some oldie but goodies that don’t seem to budge from my top lists but I am always fair and allow the newbies to creep in if I think they are good enough. Also I find that seasons determine which products I use more and the type of products I go for.
Any who, just though I would share some of my current beauty essentials with you guys and introduce you to a couple of my favourite newbies.

First up, as its so cold outside and there is a lot of dry skin going around….I absolutely love this Vitamin E body scrub by Jo Malone. It smells divine and is a quality sugar scrub not the creamy type but more oily. The Vitamin E helps rebuild and keeps your skin nice and soft. It is expensive but sometimes you just have to spoil yourself!

Lately I discovered a range called Lavera Natural Cosmetics which is a gluten and cruelty free brand. Their products are all 100% natural and dermatologically tested. I’ve included their blusher and lipstick in my essentials as I just love the colours and it’s a bonus that they have this bio element. Could be a great find for those with sensitive skin?

I rarely talk about hair and I have actually made a mental note that it’s probably time to do a full post on hair, so keep an eye out! For now I just want to talk about one of my hair essentials which is this Revlon Equave Detangling Conditioning Spray. You use it after shampooing and leave in but one of the main reasons I like it is because it is Keratin enriched which means it’s great for frizzy nightmare hair…yes, just like mine! Got to have some kind of a magic trick tucked away somewhere…

I love Pixi as a brand anyway, firstly because their products look so cute and their range is really very big. This Tinted Face Gel is perfect for holidays, on the go mums and also gym goers! I use it to give me nice coverage for when I haven’t got time to do my make up or when make up is inappropriate. Best of all its a gel so you literally just rub it in. It comes in a variety of colours just like normal foundation.

I’m living for my nails right now and these are two of my favourites.
Boutique is Sainsbury’s make up range and the bottle is nice and small so you can pop it in your bag quite easily. Love this navy colour, for when I’m in one of my dark moods…..ha ha!
Soigne is a range that’s new to me and it was definitely love at first sight! This nail polish is really as luxury as you can get. It comes in a beautiful box and then inside a protective foam casing. As you can see the bottle is gorge and the colours this range comes in are so nice! Definitely a must try!

I just discovered the Glo & Ray make up collection and now it’s one of my favs. This La Amo Creamy Matte Lip Colour is a gorgeous dark red called ‘Love & Hate’. As you probably know by now I am really in to my dark lipsticks at the moment, so when I discovered this colour I fell in love! Also love the way that the brand name is actually engraved on the lipstick itself, make it feel that bit more lux.

I now also use the Glo & Ray Nauge Blusher as the pigments in the colour are really strong and it comes in a nice little case with a brush included. A handbag favourite!

This Korres Wild Rose foundation is always on me. It so handy as it comes in a squeeze tube so much more convenient than a glass bottle. Korres is really great for make up, although not so well known. One of the reasons I love this particular foundation is because it has SPF 15 so you are wearing sun protection everyday without realising. Perfect to fight of the signs of ageing! Again Korres offers a wide range of shades so you are bound to find your perfect colour.

Lastly, I can’t forget these two lovely lotions that keep me from looking like a dusty builder during winter.
This is Kiehl’s Soy Milk and Honey Whipped Body Butter and it’s really creamy and leaves a satin like finish…love it! Also the packaging is super fun!

The Champney’s Citrus Blush Hand Lotion is really my saviour and the citrus fragrance is delicious, every time I put it on I have to smell my hands at least three times! As hand creams go this is probably one of my favourites of all time and it comes in a handy pump bottle too!

They sound like a lovely range of products, and I like the dark colour of that nail polish! 🙂
