New Years Make Up

New Years Make Up

New Years Eve is my favourite night out! It’s a chance to go all out with your make up look and you can really get away with as much glitter and liner as you want without judgement!
Might as well then 🙂

This year I am going for gold glitter eyes with a wide cat eye liner. This look is done with two different eye shadows, both by Bobbi Brown.
The first is a Shadow stick which is drawn on like a pencil all over the lower lid then with a finger I have dabbed the Sparkle eye shadow over the top, blending towards the edges. This gives a super glittery look which is prefect for parties!

I have used a wide cat eye line that only starts from halfway across the top lid to make the eyes look wider as I do have quite narrow eyes. I have then underlined the eye with a mid dark brown eyeshadow so as not to overpower them.
I’ve got Kisses lashes on here but have also put a generous coat of Benefit They’re Real mascara on the top and bottom lashes for even more volume and colour.

I have kept the eyebrows quite natural by just adding a bit of colour with the Urban Decay Brow Beater. Make sure you brush after colour to blend in for a more natural appearance.

Absolutely love these new brushes from Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection. They are beautiful in come in a variety of coppers, golds and silvers with lovely long handles. The full collection is all you need to complete a full face make up look.

For the lips I have gone dark red with a slight sheen. I’ve used Urban Decay’s Manic on the this here as it’s the perfect festive colour and goes great with the bronze jacket I will be wearing. Love Urban Decay lipsticks as they never dry out and always seem to last the night!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick – Bronze

I’ve used the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze to highlight my cheeks, again in keeping with the festive party look. This time I have only used the two darker colours to give a really bold sheen to the cheeks.
